Click now: http://CheapCableTV.com Good evening, Im still reporting on: US Treasury Leakers Had Ties With Mueller Mob, 2413 Synopsis: According to the Gateway Pundit, Tuesdays indictment of Treasury Dept. officials who leaked secret banking records of former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort, to news media are tied to corrupt Mueller attorney Andrew Weissmann. Forty-year old Natalie Edwards, the senior advisor in the Treasury Departments Financial Crimes Enforcement Network or FinCEN - leaked FinCEN documents to Jason Leopold, a reporter for BuzzFeed. Shockingly, it goes still higher. Named as a co-conspirator with Edwards is an unnamed person only identified as one of the six Associate Directors of FinCEN. However, according to investigative reporter Sean Davis put it in a tweet: Mueller attorney Andrew Weissmann was THE MAN who deliberately destroyed thousands of Arthur Anderson jobs in the early 2,000s when essentially put the company out of business by over-reaching in court. China's Next Revolution Is on the Horizon "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

The Mandate of Heaven will be withdrawn, and the autocratic regime overthrown.
The absolute confidence that China's political structure is permanent and forever is reminiscent of the absolute confidence in the 1980s that the USSR's political structure was permanent and forever. But the social contract that undergirds the Communist Party's absolute power in China is fast-eroding, and those who understand Chinese history sense the winds of change have shifted and the next revolution in China is already darkening the horizon.
The story starts in the Song Dynasty, which reached its zenith in the mid-1200s.
I've been pondering the excellent 1964 history of the Southern Song Dynasty's capital of Hangzhou, Daily Life in China on the Eve of the Mongol Invasion, 1250-1276 by Jacques Gernet, in light of the Chinese government's unprecedented "Social Credit Score" system, which I wrote about in May 2018: ...

If Democracy Cant Solve the Problems People Face, Theyll Turn to Authoritarianism and Fascism "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

If Democracy Cant Solve the Problems People Face, Theyll Turn to Authoritarianism and Fascism Instead

The Age of Instability

Is democracy still capable of solving the worlds great problems? I know. Its a strange, funny, absurd question. But I mean it like this: if democracy cant solve the problems people facethen they will turn to authoritarianism and fascism instead. And that way lies the abyss. And yet we already see the world on the first steps of this patharound the globe, people are beginning to give up on democracy, and turn to backwards, regressive, violent, and undemocratic forms of political economy.

Hence, before us lies an age of instability. One where journalists are tortured, murdered, dismembered. But I think we are not fully seeing the stakes yetenough of us, at least. The survival of democracy is very much in question at this juncture in history. And that is because democracy itself has not been nourished, and so it is withering, like an unwatered tree. Let me explain what I mean.

One of the many things we are going to have to rethink after this era is the history of democracy itself. If we are a little more honest about it, democracy is not a thing that has been with us since time immemorial. In realistic and mature terms, the reign of democracy has barely lasted a few generationsbecause before all else, democracy is the exercise of equality. Without equality, democracys other goods, like freedom and justice, mean little, if anything at all.

America only really became a democracy after the end of segregationas much as Americans hate it when this is pointed outin the 1970s. Europe became a democracy earlierafter the second World War, when genuine equality was, for the first time, really enshrined constitutionally and legally both. But in both cases we see that the much vaunted reign of democracy hardly began in ancient history. Democracy might have been a noble Athenian idealbut it took humanity millennia to realize it. In its mature form, its realized state, democracy has been with us for less than a century. Perhaps fifty years, in Americas case.

So the way that we think about the world is backwards. We tend to think of the world as a place in which countries strive and struggle and scrape to become rich, and when they do, they will become democraciespoof!as if by magic. Only the above tells us none of this is true at all. A nations riches might be built atop slavery and colonialism, and it might go on being something less than a democracy for a very long time.

Now. Because we think of the world in terms of linear progresstribes becoming dictatorships becoming banana republics becoming democracies, which is itself a remnant of...

Fed bashing "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Ive tried to avoid commenting on Trumps Fed bashing, as I dont wish to insult my readers intelligence.  But the media reports that Trump is now bashing the Fed on an almost daily basis, in order to have a fall guy in case the economy turns south.  So I suppose I must say something:

1.  In the real world, presidents dont get to excuse policy failures by pointing to the mistakes of government officials that they themselves appointed.  But of course we no longer live in the real world; we live in TrumpWorld, where it is rhetoric, not reality, that matters.  (If you want a good laugh, read a serious media report (say the NYT) where they go out and interview Trump voters who explain why they are thrilled with Trumps performance.  Great accomplishments like the peace deal with North Korea.)

2.  OK, enough Trump bashing.  What about the substance of his complaint?  Here Id say hes very likely wrong, but not obviously crazy.  The indicators I look at (NGDP, inflation, unemployment, etc.) do not indicate that money is too tight, but theres at least a small possibility that we still dont have a credible 2% PCE inflation rate going forward.  Its at least debatable.

3.  If you talk to the average economist, point #2 is what theyd complain about.  Most economists dont see money as being too tight.  But the real problem is elsewhere; Trump assumes that interest rates represent the stance of monetary policy.  Even worse, he thinks that low rates mean easy money.  Other economists are less likely to ridicule Trump for this error, as many economists are similarly confused.

The Fed influences the economy in many ways.  One method is by adjusting the policy interest rate (fed funds or IOR).  A far more important way is by affecting the natural rate of interest.  Thus the Fed sharply reduced the natural rate in 2008, while only gradually reducing the policy rate.  To the average economist (and to Trump) the Fed was easing monetary policy.  In fact, because the natural rate was falling even faster than the policy rate, they were tightening policy.

How does the Fed affect the natural rate of interest?  By shifting the expected NGDP growth rate (and also the level of NGDP relative to trend.)  A tight money  policy (such as late 2007 through 2008) will reduce NGDP growth expectations, and this reduces the natural rate of interest. Thats what Trump doesnt understand, but its also what lots of economists dont understand. Even the smarter economists, the ones that understand its the gap between the policy rate and the natural rate that matters, often think that the natural rate is falling due to external shocks, not bad Fed policy.

So by all means ridicule Trump for the insanity of excusing potential policy failures by pointing to the mistakes...

I think Theresa May might have good reason for feeling miffed as we head into the weekend. Weve had a triple whammy of pretty good economic news the fastest rising pay packets since the financial crisis, lowest borrowing in over a decade and lower than expected inflation. And what gratitude does she get? One Tory MP saying not only that he wouldnt join her government, he wouldnt even vote for it, another saying Conservatives are close to despair over Brexit negotiations, others (rightly) calling for swift action to put more money into Universal Credit, and the prospect of David Davis as an interim Conservative leader being talked up (definitely not by David Davis definitely not). Specialization and the Flowering of Personality, and Choice "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

A new paper in Science adds support to the so-called gender-equality paradox. Using a survey of some 80,000 people across 76 countries Falk and Hermle find that for a variety of preferences the differences between the genders gets larger the greater is economic development and gender equality. The basic story is here:

As the authors put it:

In sum, greater availability of material and social resources to both women and men may facilitate the independent development and expression of gender-specific preferences, and hence may lead to an expansion of gender differences in more developed and gender-egalitarian countries.

As I pointed out in my post, Do Boys Have a Comparative Advantage in Math and Science? results like this can explain why there are proportionately fewer women entering STEM fields in richer and more gender-equal countries than in poorer and less gender-equal countries.

One point which many people are missing is that small but growing gender differences with development are only one minor effect of a much bigger phenomena. In a primitive economy, everyone does more or less the same thing, subsistence farming. Only in a market economy under the division of labor can people specialize. Specialization reflects and amplifies diverse personalities and interests. People sometimes complain about excess variety in a market economy but do they extend that complaint to careers, arts, and lifestyles? In a market society we get Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes and Coconut Flakes and we get cardiologists, dermatologists and otolaryngologists and we get Chicago Blues, dub step, and K-Pop and we also get a flowering of sexual preferences and lifestyles. As Mises once said the very idea of personality as we know it today is a result of the market economy. The small gender differences some people focus on are merely the averaging by gender of much larger individual differences. Thus, I would revise the authors:

In sum, greater availability of material and social resources facilitates the independent development and expression of individual-specific preferences, and hence may lead to an expansion of individual differences in more developed and equal-opportunity countries.

When agricultural workers go hungry "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Food is a powerful storyteller. Our diet signals whether we cook at home, shop locally, prefer inexpensive dishes, or even think about what we eat. But the consumer side of mealtime is just one of food's many plot lines. Food has backstories, too, none more unsavory than this one: agricultural workers-the people who make dinner possible-are also the most likely to go to bed hungry.

The Dow Has Fallen Nearly 1,500 Points From The Peak Of The Market, And Many Believe This October Panic Is Just Beginning "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

We havent had an October like this in a very long time.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down another 327 points on Thursday, and overall the Dow is now down close to 1,500 points from the peak of the market.  Unlike much of the rest of the world, it is still too early to say that the U.S. is facing a new financial crisis, but if stocks continue to plunge like this one wont be too far away.  And as you will see below, many believe that what we have seen so far is just the start of a huge wave of selling.  Of course it would be extremely convenient for Democrats if stocks did crash, because it would give them a much better chance of doing well in the midterm elections.  This is the most heated midterm election season that I can ever remember, and what U.S. voters choose to do at the polls in November is going to have very serious implications for the immediate future of our country.

After a very brief rally earlier in the week, stocks have been getting hammered again.  The S&P 500 has now fallen for 9 out of the last 11 trading sessions, and homebuilder stocks have now fallen for 19 of the last 22 trading sessions.  It was a sea of red on Thursday, and some of the stocks that are widely considered to be economic bellwethers were among those that got hit the hardest

Several stocks seen as economic bellwethers fell sharply in the U.S., including United Rentals and Textron, which dropped at least 11 percent each. Snap-on and Caterpillar, meanwhile, fell 9.6 percent and 3.9 percent, respectively.

Hopefully we will see another bounce on Friday, but a...

Is political correctness the ultimate hack of the Left? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Yes says I, in my latest Bloomberg column.  Here is one bit:

To put it simply, the American left has been hacked, and it is now running in a circle of its own choosing, rather than focusing on electoral victories or policy effectiveness. Too many segments of the Democratic Party are self-righteously talking about identity politics, and they are letting other priorities slip.

Of course there is a lot of racism out there, which makes political correctness all the more tempting. Yet polling data suggests that up to 80 percent of Americans are opposed to politically correct thinking in its current manifestations. Latinos and Asian-Americans are among the groups most opposed, and even 61 percent of self-professed liberals do not like political correctness.

I give some examples (Elizabeth Warren, the Harvard lawsuit) of how these issues can harm the fortunes of the Left.  Here is the basic model:

I now wonder if, in the internet era, every political movement is hackable. Political involvement requires a certain kind of ideological motivation, and ideologies are imperfectly rational. So a smart hacker can redirect the attention of groups in other, less productive directions. Just put some inflammatory words or video on the internet and you can induce the left to talk more about identity politics.

The correct hacking words, memes, and images are found by trial and error, but once the fervently expressive left-wing responses are observed, the techniques are honed and refined pretty quickly.

And what about the hacking of the Right?

Has the right-wing been hacked? I suspect so. The president himself is part of the hack, and the core motivation is the desire to own the libs, a phrase I didnt hear much five years ago. Weve now entered an era in which too many are self-obsessed and too few are effectiv...

Two big egos "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Imagine a leader with an enormous ego and a devoted fan club, who frequently behaves in a reckless and irresponsible fashion.  He sends out tweets full of bizarre and irresponsible attacks on other people, and also misrepresents important financial information, which misleads various stakeholders.

What should we do with a leader like this?

I guess the answer depends on where they work.  If they work in the private sector, then they need to be punished for their bad behavior, perhaps by the SEC.  If they work in the executive branch . . . well, you can guess.

PS.  Make that three big egoslook who The Economist thinks has a good chance to become the next British Prime Minister:

Mrs May might well win such a vote, if only because Mr Johnson is so unpopular among Tory MPs. His problem is not just that the majority of Tory MPs voted remain in the referendum, and hate him as leader of the Brexiteers. MPs of all political persuasions regard him as a cad. One senior Tory says that its 100% inconceivable that hell become leader of the Conservative PartyHes a media clown, not a serious politician. Hes a shit who doesnt give a shit about anything but himself, says another. The list of charges against him is long: he doesnt believe in anything but his own advancement; he doesnt lift a finger to help his colleagues; he was a disaster as foreign secretary.

He has one big thing going for him, in the eyes of most Tory MPs: his performance at the polls. When he won two terms as mayor of Labour-leaning London he was praised for possessing the Heineken factorthe ability to reach parts of the country that other Tories couldnt reach. . . .

But should Mrs May lose a confidence vote, Mr Johnson has a good chance. The two further hurdles are probably superable. He has to get onto a shortlist of two MPs that the parliamentary party sends to the partys 124,000 members, and then he has to win the memberships support.

On the first, the Brexiteers, who include not just the ERG but other eurosceptics, have enough votes to get one of their own onto the final shortlist, and are likely to coalesce behind Mr Johnson. Jacob Rees-Mogg, their leader, has already said that he thinks that Mr Johnson would make an excellent prime minister.

On the second, Tory party members like Mr Johnson more than Tory MPs doand are getting keener with every suicide-vest jibe.

Could a conservative politicians who is hated by his elite of own party (b...

The road to financial independence can be long, but that doesnt discourage the cities, counties, and states leading the movement to create public banks in the United States.

In Washington State, legislators are now just three votes away from passing a bill to adopt a business plan to create a state bank. The path they took is instructive to cities, counties and other states looking to form their own banks. Watch their recent State Bank Forum here.

I see a public bank as almost inevitable, said State Sen. Bob Hasegawa, because of the current financial structures were required to live under.

Are the Digital Commons condemned to become Capital Commons? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Last week, Katherine Maher, the executive director of the Wikimedia Foundation, published a rather surprising article on the Wired site entitled: Facebook and Google must do more to support Wikipedia. The starting point of her reasoning was to point out that Wikipedia content is increasingly being used by digital giants, such as Facebook or Google:

[...]

For a project like Wikipedia, things would probably be different if firms like Google or Facebook answered the call launched by Katherine Maher. The Wikipedia community has strict rules in place regarding paid contributions, which means that you would probably never see 90% of the content produced by employees. Company contributions would likely be in the form of cash payments to the Wikimedia Foundation. However, economic dependence would be no less strong; until now, Wikipedia has ensured its independence basically by relying on individual donations to cover the costs associated with maintaining the projects infrastructure. This economic dependence would no doubt quickly become a political dependence which, by the way, the Wikimedia Foundation has already been criticised for, regarding a large number of personalities with direct or indirect links with Google included on its board, to the point of generating strong tensions with the community. The Mozilla Foundation, behind the Firefox browser, has sometimes received similar criticism. Their dependence on Google funding may have attracted rather virulent reproach and doubts about some of its strategic choices.

In the end, this question of the digital Commons state of economic dependence is relatively widespread. There are, in reality, very few free projects having reached a significant scale that have not become more or less Capital Commons. This progressive satellite-isation is likely to be further exacerbated by the fact that free software communities have placed themselves in a fragile situation by coordinating with infrastructures that can easily be captured by Capital. This is precisely what just happened with Microsofts...

Public banking featured on Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Lee Camp and Jost Androsky Redacted Tonight

Lee Camp spoke with Josh Androsky from PBLA about all things public banking on a recent episode of his popular show Redacted Tonight, A new way to end the big banks.

Public banking is basically democratizing finance. It would be cutting out the Wall Street middleman and allowing the power of banking to be a public utility. Its not that difficult. When it comes down to it, who should be in control of public money? Is it six people in a board room in New York City high up in a penthouse of a giant skyscraper, or is it your community, your neighbors?

It's Our Money with Ellen Brown

In the latest episode of Its Our Money with Ellen Brown, Thomas Hanna of the Democracy Collaborative talks about how public banking can be a shield from the economic ravages of the expected next crisis. As co-host Walt McRee summarizes the episode:

Crisis Finance

We live with a monetary system designed to stage recurring crashes which move personal and public assets into the hands of the Oligarchy. American history is filled with examples of financial stratagems enabled by power-center bankers both near and far. Our guest Thomas Hanna of the Democracy Collaborative talks with Ellen about The Crisis Next Time and why we need to use the next banker-crash debacle to move our financial controls into the hands of the public. Commentator Bob Bows reviews some shocking American history that makes it clear these financial crises are no accident and how they are destroying democracy. And Anna Callahan of TheIncorruptibles outlines how citizens must organize to reclaim the political power needed to protect themselves from the corporate financial powers both locally and nationally.

What if there was a prize for food sovereignty? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

On Sunday evening, a group of over 100 food activists, farmers, artists, and community members from across the world gathered in downtown Bellingham, Washington to honor the recipients of this years Food Sovereignty Prize.

The awards were were founded in 2009 with the stated mission of celebrating grassroots efforts to promote food sovereigntydefined as a communitys ability to feed itself culturally appropriate cuisine while maintaining control over the means of food production.

But its the Food Sovereignty Prizes anti-imperialist ethoshighlighting women, migrants, people of color, and farmworkers who are historically marginalized in the global food system, and often in awards ceremonies honoring efforts to change itthat stands in sharp contrast with a far better known, lucrative, and contentious accolade: the World Food Prize.

Just for You: A Tsunami of MONEY! "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

UPSIDE!

Dear Reader,

This is big. Ive been saying this for a few years now, but it remains true: this is the end of a prohibition.

Were never going to see anything like this again, and we are still very early.

No doubt, the next month could be volatile since the news is now out that Canada is legal.

Over the next month, I want to help you build the ultimate cannabis portfolio.

On September 4th, we told you about our top cannabis-infused drink company, Koios Beverage Corp. (CSE: KBEV & US: KBEVF), at just 20 cents Canadian. Weve seen our money double, and then double again (Im still accumulating shares)!

This past Monday, we profiled a brand new public company, CannAmerica Brands Corp. (CSE: CANA), for just CAD$0.87. As of this morning, its trading for CAD$1.03.

Theyre headed up by Dan Anglin, one of the pioneers in the cannabis industry.

CannAmerica has entered into licensing agreements with industry leaders for its key brands, AmeriCanna and CannAmerica, in three key geographic markets for the legal cannabis trade: Colorado, Nevada, and Maryland.

I personally decided to make this a core stock in my own family portfolio.

I remember when I first invested into and profiled Bitcoin at $13; I saw a sector that could make investors a fortune.

For the cannabis space, I feel even more bullish. The upside here is greater than Ive ever seen.

Raising the status of Chow Yun Fat "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

He is one of my favorite actors, so I was pleased to read this:

Chow Yun Fat plans to give his entire net worth of $714m to charity.

As reported by Jayne Stars, Hong Kong movie legend Chow Yun Fat will give his entire net worth of $5.6 billion HKD ($714m USD) to charity.

Despite his gargantuan wealth, Fat remains rather frugal. Only spending $800 HKD ($1o2 USD) per month, Fat is often seen taking public transport and doing charity work.

He used his first Nokia phone for over 17 years, only switching to a smartphone two years ago. Fat is known for shopping at discount stores. I dont wear clothes for other people. As long as I think its comfortable, then its good enough for me, he said.

Fat often spends his free time hiking and jogging, instead of splashing out.

Here is the full story, via the excellent Benjamin Copan.  And if you dont know his performances in The Killer, a John Woo film, now is the time to check it out.

Does Putin Have A Traitor In His Government? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

UPDATE: Since posting this I have been informed by two experts who know that whereas my description of Kudrin as Washingtons puppet is correct, John Helmer is just stirring the pot as Kudrin is no longer influential. The experts also inform me that Helmer has a tendency or habit of over-interpreting in ways that raise suspicion of Putins determination to stand up for Russia.

Does Putin Have A Traitor In His Government?

Paul Craig Roberts

If the report below from John Helmer is correct, the implication is that Alexei Kudrin, Putins good friend and a member of the Russian government, is a traitor to Russia. The way I read Helmers report, Kudrin, a hero to Washington but widely regarded in Russia as an agent of the billionaire oligarchs that Washington and Israel put in charge of Russian assets during the Yeltsin era, is giving speeches advocating that Russia sacrifice its sovereignty and national interests to Washington so that sanctions will be removed and Russian oligarchs can participate in the Wests looting of the rest of the world.

Helmer reports that Kudrin told the oligarch lobby last week that Today Russias foreign policy should be subordinated to the reduction of tension in our relations with other countries, by which he means the US, in order to reduce the sanctions or, at least, prevent their increase.

Kudrin was the deputy finance minister during the pre-Putin period who presided over the Russian bond default, collapse of the ruble, and crash of the main banks. For this utter and total failure, Putin promoted him to Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. In 2011 pressure from the military resulted in Kudrin being demoted to a lesser position.

In his present position, Kudrin has the authority to examine state agencies and promote his evaluations and proposals. He can refer government officials to law enforcement agencies for criminal prosecution, power he can use to remove Russian nationalists and replace them with pro-American Atlanticist Integrationists.

Kudrin is known to favor capitulation to Washington and promotes himself in the Western press as Putins successor on the grounds that he is the only Russian political figure acceptable to the US and NATO.

With such a willing Washington puppet as Kudrin waiting in the wings, Putins assassination by the oligarchs or by the CIA is ever more likely.

In an extensive interview with Goldmans Marina Grushin (republished below), the Guggenheim Investments Chairman once again lays out his bearish case, starting with what he believes is the most mispriced asset, i.e., credit, stating that credit spreads are too
tight right now, and noting that after adjusting for expected credit losses, HY bonds offer minimal value over Treasuries. While carry is reasonably attractive and trailing defaults are modest, a credit investor should not take for granted the ability to liquidate a position when the value proposition changes. That was then, this is now "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

A Cincinnati newspaper printed a malevolent editorial proclaiming that [Andrew] Jacksons mother was a common prostitute brought to this country by British soldiers.  thereupon she married a mulatto man with whom she had several children, among them Andrew Jackson.  Apprised of this far-fetched, scandalous tale, [John Quincy] Adams thought it absurd, but cynically went on to comment that even if proved true it would probably not hurt Jackson.  The course of the campaign seemed to substantiate all Adamss apprehensions that fervent partisanship was demolishing reasonableness, a slugfest of calumny and lies replacing political civility.  Vice was triumphing over virtue.  And the cynicism expressed in his reaction to the malignant piece regarding Jacksons mother and his birth signaled that he had begun to doubt the probity of the republic and its citizens.

Is The Federal Reserve Trying To Sabotage Trump? Stocks Fall Again As Investors Are Rattled By Fed Comments "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Could it be possible that the Federal Reserve is attempting to influence the outcome of the upcoming midterm elections?  Just weeks before Americans will go to the polls, the Fed has been making headline after headline with talk about interest rate hikes.  And they very well understand that interest rate hikes will rattle investors and slow down the economy.  In fact, every Fed rate hiking cycle since 1957 has ended in either a stock market crash or a recession.  So could the Federal Reserve be doing this on purpose in order to sabotage Donald Trump and the Republicans?  Nobody is really asking this question, but perhaps we should be.

For a while there it looked like a good rally was cooking on Wall Street, but then news about future Federal Reserve interest rate hikes sent stocks tumbling on Wednesday

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell Wednesday in volatile trading after a summary of the Federal Reserves most-recent meeting showed the central bank was leaning toward more rate hikes moving forward.

The 30-stock index dropped 91.74 points to 25,706.68 as sharp losses in IBM offset strong gains in Goldman Sachs. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite closed just below the flatline at 2,809.21 and 7,642.70, respectively.

1. Expect to get picked up and propositioned by homosexuals.
2. Everybody is really interested in drugs and wants to get their hands on some.
3. Drugs quickly went from being the pastime of a small, hip elite, to becoming the obsession of trashy, low-class types.
4. Cowboys or anyone who identified with them wants to kill hippies.
5. Mexicans want to kill hippies.
6. Its possible to sleep in an empty lot in Seattle or Portland, but in L.A., you will be harassed.
6. Panhandling is the worlds most humiliating activity.
7. Day labor is shockingly arduous.
8. Americas roadsides are a continuous scroll of accidental beauty, dramatic vignettes, and surreal occurrences.
9. Even a single night in a small town jail is awful enough to dissuade any sane person from ever committing or coming close to committing an imprisonable offense.
10. Jesus communes and Hare Krishna people will take you in and feed you when no one else will. But they have their own problems.
11. Iowa is surprisingly beautiful.
12. We thought because we all had long hair, we were all on the same wavelength we werent.

With MBS In Washingtons Saddam Hussein ChairMaybe The House Of Sauds Days Are Finally Numbered "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

If Khashoggi was, in fact, whacked out by a Saudi hit squadcomplete with torture and Goodfellas-style dismembermentas the Turks maintain he was, then Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is even crazier than we thought. Since being named heir apparent by his senile father, King Salman, the crown prince has been on a mission to establish himself as the regions chief thug. This is no small task, but MbS, as hes blithely referred to, seems up to the challenge.

Succumb to Facebook & Twitters demands or get banned "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

https://www.rt.com/op-ed/441311-facebook-twitter-ban-dissident/

A recent purge by Facebook and Twitter of a host of independent media sites has pushed thousands of people out of work and has killed one of the most effective forms of expressing political dissent.

On Thursday last week, Facebook purged more than 800 pages and accounts, accusing them of engaging in inauthentic behaviour and violating Facebooks anti-spam policies.

According to a statement released by Facebook on its website, many of these pages were:

using fake accounts or multiple accounts with the same names and posted massive amounts of content across a network of Groups and Pages to drive traffic to their websites. Many used the same techniques to make their content appear more popular on Facebook than it really was. Others were ad farms using Facebook to mislead people into thinking that they were forums for legitimate political debate.

One of these pages was The Anti-Media, which I have worked for since mid-2016. Until the purge, we had some 2.17 million followers on Facebook. Supposedly, Facebook wants you to believe that 2.17 million people voluntarily signed up to our page just to receive all the spam content that we put out there (sounds realistic).

Shortly after Facebook unpublished our page, Twitter suspended our account as well.

Twitter did one better than Facebook, though, as it went one step further and suspended the accounts of our editors and many influential people who work on our team. Carey Wedler, Anti-Medias editor-in-chiefs Twitter account was suspended and yet Twitter could not even provide her with a valid reason for doing so.

I am not joking. In her notice of suspension, Twitter informed Wedler that her account, CareyWedler has been suspended for violating the Twitter Rules. Specifically, for: and the specifically, for part of Twitters notice was left blank.

They literally could not even think of a reason; and yet they are for some reason not required to provide one.

The US Housing Recovery Is Built On Quicksand "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Home price gains since 2013 have been much less impressive than you think. While reports show that home prices have recovered nationwide, the increase has been uneven and not as strong as you have been led to believe.

Consider RealtyTracs latest report on 148 major U.S. metropolitan areas. The average gain on the sale of property was 30%. Not bad, except the average holding period was just over eight years. That comes to an annual price increase of 3.75%. High-yield corporate bonds would have earned you considerably more.
