Kim Dotcom Knew It Was Seth Rich, NOT the RUSSIANS!, 2075 "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

- Nobel Gold: Protect Your Money With Gold - Click Here- https://goo.gl/kx2yzW Or Call - 877-646-5347 Good morning, Im still reporting on: Kim Dotcom Knew It Was Seth Rich, NOT the RUSSIANS!, 2075 Synopsis: Kim Dotcom has reminded President Trump following a Sunday morning tweet by the President that the Democratic National Committee was not hacked by the Russians - or even the Klingons - because it was not a hack at all. At 7:33 am on Sunday, Trump tweeted: I never said Russia did not meddle in the election, I said "it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer." The Russian "hoax" was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia - it never did! A few hours later, Kim Dotcom replied to the President: "Let me assure you, the DNC hack wasn't even a hack. It was an insider with a memory stick. I know this because I know who did it and why. Special Counsel Mueller is not interested in my evidence. My lawyers wrote to him twice. He never replied. 360 pounds!" A forensic cyber expert known as the forensicator, a year ago did a deep dive into the internet speeds that were available at the time. The file in question was downloaded off the DNC's servers at 22.6 megs per second - an impossibly high speed for that time and place. So remember this: IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE BEEN A HACK! Also, a timestamp in the data identified that the destination device was located in the EDT - the east coast of the U.S. Support Our Sponsors: - Nobel Gold: Protect Your Money With Gold - Click Here- https://goo.gl/kx2yzW Or Call - 877-646-5347 - Virtual Shield VPN - the easiest way to create a home VPN. Trump's Reads "The Snake" Again to CPAC, 2074 "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

- Virtual Shield VPN - the easiest way to create a home VPN. Go to: https://www.virtualshield.com/billstill Good morning, Im still reporting on: Trump's Reads "The Snake" Again to CPAC, 2074 Synopsis: I have to admit I was choking back tears at several points in this speech. It was the most reminiscent of his campaign speeches where we poured all our hopes and dreams for our nation into this man, after barely surviving 8 long years of the first president in our history who by obvious deeds did not love our nation. By God's miraculous intervention, the selfless energy of Mr. Trump, and the hard work of millions of us who knew this was America's last chance to survive in tact - Mr. Trump became President Trump and now, we have hope again. What do I mean by hope? The Obama/Clinton crime syndicate was on the verge of sealing our fates. Interestingly, this was Trump's longest speech ever - about 75 minutes, and included his reading of Al Wilson's and Oscar Brown's "The Snake". Actually, did you know that this was actually inspired by one of Aesop's Fables, The Farmer and the Viper. The left claims that Trump means for this reading to be solely aimed at illegal immigration. But as we are now learning, America has been at dire risk from other hidden dangers as well - and I mean specifically practically everything Obama and Clinton stand for. Trump knows how important it is to hammer home these dangers again and again because still barely a majority of the population believes it. So, sit back and enjoy that coarse Trumpian Trumpet crackling throughout your house once again. Virtually all sources are wrong "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Before explaining the title of this post, let me point out that  I will be interviewed on monetary policy by Charlie Deist for 1 hour tomorrow morning (8-9am Sunday, Pacific time, or 11-12am, EST) Here is the link.

Here is Wikipedia:

Virtually all sources agree on John D. Rockefeller being the richest American in history.

The second place is disputed, held by Andrew CarnegieCornelius VanderbiltJohn Jacob Astor IVBill Gates or Henry Ford depending on the source; most sources agree on Carnegie. Further places are a matter of even bigger debate.

This is just sillyJohn D. Rockefeller was not even in the top 10 of the richest Americans, even adjusting for inflation.  So that led me to wonder if Wikipedias claim was true.  Alas, I discovered it was true.  Virtually all sources agree that Rockefeller was the richest American of all time (even though he wasnt even close.)  The New York Times agrees.  Forbes agrees.  Business Insider agrees.  CNNMoney agrees.  How could this happen?  How could virtually all sources be so wrong?

Lets start with the facts.  Rockefeller first hit $1 billion in net worth in 1916.  That money was worth about $23 billion in 2018 dollars.  When he died in 1937 he was worth about $1.4 billion, roughly $24 billion in 2018 dollars.  Thats well down the Forbes billionaire list.  You could argue the CPI is flawed, as the cost of mansio...

India Lacks Formal, Salaried Jobs "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

In the United States a majority of workers work for very large firms and only 10% are self-employed. In India hardly any workers work for large firms and 80-85% are self-employed, as I pointed out in my post India is a much more Entrepreneurial Society than the United States (and thats a problem).

Data from a draft report by the World Bank summarized by LiveMint show that India has few formal, salaried jobs not just compared to a developed country like the United States but also compared to many other less developed countries around the world.

Solving this problem is one of Indias biggest challenges as the number of workers is increasing rapidly. Land reform and deregulation of labor markets including stopping own goals that discourage firms from growing and formalizing such as requiring absurdly generous maternity leave benefits is a first step.

Hat tip: Urbanomics.

Amazon arbitrage, money laundering edition "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

The impersonator priced the book at $555 and it was posted to multiple Amazon sites in different countries. The book which as been removed from most Amazon country pages as of a few days ago is titled Lower Days Ahead, and was published on Oct 7, 2017.

Reames said he suspects someone has been buying the book using stolen credit and/or debit cards, and pocketing the 60 percent that Amazon gives to authors. At $555 a pop, it would only take approximately 70 sales over three months to rack up the earnings that Amazon said he made.

This book is very unlikely to ever sell on its own, much less sell enough copies in 12 weeks to generate that level of revenue, Reames said. As such, I assume it was used for money laundering, in addition to tax fraud/evasion by using my Social Security number. Amazon refuses to issue a corrected 1099 or provide me with any information I can use to determine where or how they were remitting the royalties.

Reames said the books he has sold on Amazon under his name were done through his publisher, not directly via a personal account (the royalties for those books accrue to his former employer) so hed never given Amazon his Social Security number. But the fraudster evidently had, and that was apparently enough to convince Amazon that the imposter was him.

Here are additional points of interest, as the practice is more common than you might have thought.  Via the estimable Chug.

The fight for liberty in our time, SB 827 "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

SB 827, a new bill before the California Senate, would require that all areas within a mile of a high-frequency transit stop, or within a half-mile of a bus or transit corridor, allow heights of at least 45 or 85 feet (depending on distance from transit, width of street, and other characteristics). Thats roughly four to eight stories, far higher than what many local zoning commissions allow.

SB 827 would also waive any minimum parking requirements in those areas and prohibit any design requirement that would have the effect of arbitrarily lowering the square footage allowed on a lot.

The bills changes would apply to huge swathes of the state, including the majority of land in several major cities. It would unleash dense development In markets long dominated by powerful anti-housing activists (often called NIMBYs, for Not In My Backyard). It represents a housing revolution.

There is much more at the link, David Roberts interviews Brian Hanlon at Vox.

Why Utopian Societies Like America Fall "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Or, If Extreme Capitalism is What Connects Americas Problems, Why Cant Americans Figure it Out?

Heres a tiny question. What links kids massacring each other at school, no functioning healthcare or retirement, no safety nets, no mobility or stability, the average person having less than $1000 in savings?

Theyre uniquely American problems, of courseand what connects them is extreme capitalism. No, theyre not the results of capitalism alone, as in sole cause and effect, of course culture and history play a rolebut wed be foolish not to see that capitalism is the thread weaving them together.

(Imagine that in any other rich nation, there was an a product, available in every town, that was linked to an epidemic of child deathsbut whose manufacturers banded together, and kept it from being regulated, banned, or outlawed, with lobbying, persuasion, influence, and manipulation, no matter how people cried out, or how many kids died. Does that sound remotely plausible? Probably not. Only in America does such a situation existthe product, of course is called a gun, and the group is called the NRA. But the NRA is only doing what manufacturers organizations do, when there is nothing to counterbalance capitalism: band together to sell things, no matter their destructive effects.)

Now heres the strange thing. I read countless laments and jeremiads every single dayarticles, columns, editorials, about these various problemsbut not the underlying thread. This difficult week, for example, endless condemnations of the NRA. But. Why do I never read anything addressing the underlying thread? What does it tell us?

Capitalism today has become a kind of utopianism. A magical way of thinking that Americans cannot seem to think about, reflect on, or questiononly accept, just as communism was for the Soviets. Perhaps it always wasbut I will leave that for scholars of abstruse social theories. In the first part of this essay, I want to discuss what that meansand then I want to discuss why utopian societies like America are inevitably bound to implode (unless they grow beyond utopianism).

What do we mean when we say a social project has become utopian? We mean three things, generally. That it hopes to reach perfection, an ideal state. That through it, human beings, too, can be perfected. And that because it is perfect, soon enough, it will conquer the globe, spreading perfection in its wake.

Havent we seen such utopianism at work almost precisely regarding capitalism in America? It will create a perfect societyone that is perfectly free. By being perfectly free, in turn, people wil be perfectedthey will be perfectly virtuous. And because they are perfectly virtuous, they will r...

Kidney Doctor Who Sounded the Alarm on Vaccine Damage was Targeted for Murder "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Kidney doctor who sounded the alarm on vaccine damage was targeted for murder when the brake lines of her vehicle were secretly clamped

By Ethan Huff

Many in the natural health community are already aware of the recent death threat that vaccine truth advocate Dr. Suzanne Humphries received from an anonymous assailant. But what you may not realize is that Dr. Humphries was previously targeted for murder when someone maliciously severed the brake lines on her vehicle.

During a recent interview with Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, Dr. Humphries bore it all about her history working in medicine; the criticism and animosity shes faced over the years for departing from its dogma; and more recently the vulgar threat she received on her life via anonymous email. Dr. Humphries also told of how her work in exposing vaccine truth hasnt exactly done her any favors in terms of her personal safety.

It was right around the time when Dr. Humphries began to notice, and talk about, the increasing number of kidney conditions she was observing in conjunction with influenza vaccination that she quickly landed in the crosshairs of pro-vaccine cultists. She was falsely accused of being an anti-vaxxer, a categorical branding that represents a type of medical scarlet letter, and one that draws plenty of ire and hate from the more extremist jabbers who believe that people who dont vaccinate put all of society at risk.

If a person really believes this unsubstantiated dogma, its easy to see how angered they might become at people like Dr. Humphries who are spreading a different narrative. To pro-vaccination cultists like the anonymous assailant who most recently threatened Dr. Humphriess life, warning people about the dangers of vaccines basically makes one an infidel who must be taken out for the protection of the herd.

The brake lines to my Honda CR-V were clamped, and there was something wrong with how the car was functioning, Dr. Humphries revealed for the first time, recalling an incident thats she never...

Glyphosate Residues Discovered in Almond Milk, Bread and Veggie Burgers

New laboratory testing commissioned by Moms Across America has shown the presence of the worlds most used herbicide  glyphosate  in almond milk, vegetarian burgers, bread and Skippys 100% Natural peanut butter and Liptons 100% Natural Mint and Green tea.

The new round of testing follows on from similar testing commissioned by Moms Across America on popular U.S. orange juice brands in 2017, which showed levels of between 4.3 ppb and 26.05 ppb of glyphosate in brands such as Tropicana and Minute Maid.

The new batch testing results showed that conventional almond milk contained glyphosate at a level of 0.87 ppb and certified organic almond milk contained 0.07 ppb. The batch bread testing showed a range of glyphosate residues from 6.47 ppb to 140 ppb. Conventional veggie burgers batch testing revealed 52.20 ppb of glyphosate. Certified organic veggie burgers contained 3.27 ppb.

100% Natural Skippy peanut butter was found to contain 11.71 ppb of glyphosate residue and 100% Natural Lipton Tea was found to contain 108.90 ppb and Liptons 100% Natural Green Tea contained 208.29 ppb.

In November Moms Across America, led by Founder Zen Honeycutt, announced a nationwide campaign to ban glyphosate herbicides in all fifty states in the U.S.

All 50 state governors are being petitioned by moms and supporters through Change.org and local state residents from each state are launching a mail-in campaign today requesting meetings with their governors.

Honeycutt stated, Now is the time. Our country is in an unaffordable and tragic public health crisis. Toxic chemicals have been shown to contribute to or cause many of these health issues, especially for our children.  Its time for our states to take actions that our EPA is not willing to take. They can, must and we believe, will protect our citizens from irreparable harm. Its just a matter of which state will be the first to ban glyphosate?

Why Anyone Who Tells You Science Proves Things Impartially! Doesnt Understand Science "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Or, Five Ways That Science is Culture

Theres a strange debate happening in the Anglo world. This one recurs. Science is neutral! cry the determinists. It is free of values, politics, ugly and difficult human choices!

How funny. Is it true? I wish it were. But it is not. And anyone that says this to you fatally misunderstands scienceespecially if their title is scientist.

Ill use a particularly noxious example to disprove it. Lets imagine that we were researchers at an American thinktank, who wanted to investigate (LOL) whether Asians were smarter than whites, who in turn, were smarter than blacks. Lets leave aside how repellent this is to any thinking personin order to explore why.

There are at least five places that values, politics, and culture will intervene in the scientific method we employhypotheses, variables, conditions, testing, and of course conclusion. And no matter how we try, we will not be able to find some kind of truer truth. Lets take them one by one.

The first in the very framing of our question itselfand the hypotheses it generates. Blacks, whites, and Asians are of course just constructs themselves to begin with. They are categories without any essential reality. For example, is a Sri Lankan an Asian in the same way that a Korean is? Is a Nigerian black in the same way an African-American is? What about someone who is half of either? Whether or not such groups share DNA is again a kind of question of circular values: do we suppose that sharing DNA is the bar for belonging to a group, when in fact the group itself is something we have constructed? If sharing DNA is the bar, then of course humans share more DNA with primates than differs among themselves, so our set of categories cannot mean anything whatsoever. All this is just a game of assigning people to groups that we ourselves are judgingbut that is a political act. Culture rears its ugly headand we cannot escape it.

The second place values will intervene is in our choice of variables. How are we to operationalize this idea of intelligence? Probably, like many American researchers, we will take the easy way out, and reach for IQ. But IQ is not some kind of value-free measure or construct. It is loaded with assumptionsmany of them dubious. It measures one kind of intelligenceanalytical, not creative, ethical, synthetic. It measures that one kind of intelligence in a deterministic and rigid way: with questions for which there are right answers. But it is difficult to imagine that such a thing tests intelligence at all, because in life, most questions have no fixed sets of answers. Our question is not choosing, thenbut understanding, creating, supposing, forging, and thus deve...

The Occupy Sandy Project Council successfully managed hundreds of thousands of dollars through a consensus-based process that, while sometimes contentious and stressful, actually succeeded in allocating funds to impactful projects in transparent ways that won the respect of myriads of people from city officials to direct action organizers. I've been trying to translate this "project spokescouncil" approach to other types of organizations ever since, with some success.

Here's how I've been applying these principles:

  • Instead of creating an "organization," create a charter that explains how to run a network.

  • Instead of figuring out all the things you want your organization to do, find people already doing these things and invite them to join your network.

  • Instead of creating a central administration to run the network, encourage projects to commit to performing the various functions needed to sustain the network, including administrative ones.

One of the great features of the project spokescouncil approach is that participating projects don't have to agree on anything more than a charter. For-profits, nonprofits, cooperatives, coalitions, grassroots projects, and other groups can all coexist without forcing their processes on each other.

American Elites Discredited Themselves With Russiagate

Professor Stephen Cohen points out that by continuing to hype the disproven Russiagate theory, the Democrats and presstitutes have (1) endangered the institution of the US presidency, (2) threatened US national security by accusing Russia of an act of war, (3) demeaned American voters, (4) discredited the US media as a source of honest information, (5) turned the Democratic Party into a party that seeks power by promoting conspiracy theories, and (6) revealed American elites to be people shorn of integrity and personal honor.

The tech cooperative making tech for good less outlandish "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Outlandish">

When Sion Whellens, a client services director from communications cooperative Calverts, met with Outlandish to help them craft a new way to do business in December 2015, he found Murphy and the other members were already operating as a co-operative.

Tech tends to bring together people with high level skill sets, so its easier to establish equality, Whellens says. Particularly, the way tech people think in terms of agile projects can be applied to governance. They do project management on Trello or Vimeo day in day out, so that kind of thinking is already familiar.

Outlandish based their organisational structure on the Enspiral Foundation, which started as a group of computer programmers in New Zealand who wanted to put more time and energy into making a positive social impact. Enspiral has grown into a range of ventures, all dedicated to using their time and energy to have a social impact.

[...]

Rather than partners or shareholders extracting profits from the company through huge salaries and dividends, Outlandish members are paid what they consider a fair rate. This ranges from 150 to 350 a day much lower than other private tech companies with surplus going into a fund that members then decide how to spend. In 2016, 5,000 of that surplus went into building the school cuts website.

The Black Swan Strike "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

81iebqqqwtl

Thats what I am now calling the current industrial dispute that paralysed Britains research intensive universities. Readers the UK will be aware that academics at the countrys leading universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, etc. including my own employers, University of Liverpool) have been on strike since yesterday in a dispute over our pensions. The issue is this: the bargaining agent that represents our employers, an organization called Universities UK, claims that the pension fund has a massive deficit that needs to be addressed by some mixture of higher contributions and lower benefits for future retirees. Our union, the UCU, disagrees with this claim and thus opposes the proposed cuts in the pensions.

The employers belief that the pension fund has a large deficit is, in large part, a function of the curious, indeed rather extreme, methodology they have used to forecast future revenues and liabilities. The approach they have taken is designed to ensure that the pension fund could remain solvent in the event of a worse-case scenario which involves the closure of all of the UKs universities. This radically pessimistic approach is justified on the grounds that some industries with occupational pensions ha...

Can the coming Sovietization of American Dissent be stopped? The Satanic Cabal Control System "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

The USG is now attempting to adopt and utilize Soviet tactics to suppress the new American populism which is emerging from the Internets Alternative Press. The Internet is the worlds New Gutenberg Press and the populism it is producing is now motivating many Americans to take their country back from the City of London Zionists who hijacked it in 1913.

By Preston James, Ph. D

One of the key trademarks of the Soviet Union which fell in 1989 (thanks to the secret negotiations of VTs own Lee Wanta) was its unwarranted detainment and persecution of dissenters in mental hospitals.

Some were arrested through mistakes and by complaints made by disgruntled neighbors, others because they spoke out even quietly against the Communist party practices or read western-published goods.

After the mass-murder of priests, Christians, doctors, lawyers and farmers, elaborate delusional rituals were concocted by the Soviet State to demonize dissenters in order to justify their frequent arrests, detainment, persecution and torture, with many sent to gulags for long sentences.

These arrests, detainments and torture pleased the twisted, sadistic, cold-blooded, soulless Khazarian Communist party officials, who ordered such arrests and satisfied their demonic, satanic blood-lust.

Many Russian non-Khazarians were murdered outright, with many later sent to the Siberian Gulags for long sentences, where many died of various causes, such as malnutrition, starvation and disease. All this has been well-documented in Solzhenitsyns classic book, Gulag Archipelago.

The Soviet System was founded on the promises of Marx to create equality for all and get rid of the privileged class, but ended up just the opposite.

The result was a small privileged ultra wealthy ruling class of Khazarian communist party officials, the mass-murder of many Russians, and followed by the persecution of non-Khazarian truth-tellers, other...

Does the ACLU Any Longer Defend Civil Liberty? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Does the ACLU Any Longer Defend Civil Liberty?

Paul Craig Roberts

There are many signs of American collapse. One of the most scary is the fact that the American Civil Liberties Union no longer knows what are the civil liberties it purports to defend. Identity Politics has transformed civil rights into privileges for victim groups.

Yesterday (February 22, 2018) I received a 50-state survey from the ACLU. The envelope in which the questionnaire arrived said the survey was about how to protect civil liberties during the Trump Presidency. However, the survey (essentially a fundraiser) did not mention a single civil liberty contained in the Bill of Rights and added as amendments to the US Constitution.

Nothing about the sweeping away by the criminal Bush regime of habeas corpus with indefinite detention. No mention of the criminal Obama regimes kill list, which swept away due process by executing US citizens on allegation alone without trial, evidence, and conviction. Nothing about the sweeping away by both criminal regimes of the prohibition against spying on citizens without warrants. No mention of the shutdown of free speech and protest or of the destruction of civil liberties by unaccountable police who brutalize, rob, and murder Americans at will.

In place of civil liberties, the ACLU has Identity Politics. The ACLU civil rights survey is concerned with the civil rights of illegal aliens, of women to have abortions and publicly financed birth control, the fundamental rights of LGBT people, and Muslim bans. The civil liberties listed in the Constitution do not qualify for concern; only invented rights that are not listed in the Bill of Rights.

The letter accompanying the questionnaire does mention the First Amendment and suppression of free speech emanating from the White House. I mean, really, the Bush and Obama regimes decimated free speech and imprisoned whistleblowers. Julian Assange has been imprisoned for years in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for publishing leaked material revealing criminal and deceitful behavior of the US government. By the time of Trumps election, the First Amendment was a dead letter civil right.

In the ACLUs Identity Politics, white people, especially white heterosexual males, have no rights. They are not protected by quotas, political correctness, or hate speech prohibitions. No one has to worry about offending a white by destroying statues of white males or church plaques commemorating George Washington and Robert E. Lee. Try destroying a statue of Martin Luther King. A white person can be called every name in the book, and is. White DNA is said to be an abomination. Anyone who said black DNA or homosexual DNA was an abomination would face hate crime charges.

Even men-hating white feminists jump on the anti-white...

What started originally as a conceptual disclosure on apparitional Beings of Light Energy, Transhumanism and AI developments, invited then a parallel debate on the very mind destroying projects via Black Ops Budgets which poor Yohannes Riyadiand others been historically funding via Grey Screen Bank Trading Programs, for this grubby Deep State / Vatican Cabal. So close, yet so Gross! Money scalped which SHOULD have gone to the nations! To house, educate and help people! Stolen by the Zionists and Cabal.

WHO has stolen the future of Humanity with impunity? Who is funding these circa 1,000 US bases, and Rendition Centers, with whose money? The world needs to look at this ugly Cabal and ask, in whose name? Who also gave these rapacious Fed and Banking Zionists such power?

Where should Real Leaders life focus be? Will any focus on enhancing humanity? Not the way its going!

Nations are economically crippled, and beholden to the cynical duplicity of ruthless Zionist Banking, the War Monger Military and Agencies, Big Pharma and the Gulf of Mexico Petrochemical type mass polluters. Not least America. As we have seen, the FRB-NY operation has been allowed to run up Grey Screen Trading and Derivatives gambling exceeding $50,000 Trillion on the Riyadi account alone, while always publicly denying him his share of his lawful Profits, and even denying truth of its existence. Yet clear checks via Bank of Indonesia, and internal Treasury / Fed references expose their lies. As they have also done with a vast array of other Elders and Trusting Nations accounts. Everyone has been a victim of the cynical Bait and Switch US Treasury / FRB-NY scam shuffle. Always, they deny, and always LIE!

On one hand, as with all Elders accounts, they deny their very existence until Obama / Con Man Soetoro needed $15T to cover up a Treasury / Fed black hole. Then suddenly a completely fraudulent series of SWIFTs appeared cross referencing such AU volumes as simply did not exist, to carry out a bogus FRAUD asset scam to justify raising $15T over several SWIFTs which would be used to protect the illusion of a solvent US, by Money Laundering, Conspiracy t...

Case 4000: Benjamin Netanyahu confidant signs states witness deal "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Netanyahu said to be called in for questioning in Bezeq case 4000

Longtime Netanyahu aides named in Bezeq corruption probe

By Udi Shaham

Suspended Communications Ministry director-general Shlomo Filber, a confidant of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, signed a states witness deal on Tuesday night as part of police investigation Case 4000.

Filber is reportedly suspected of bribery, fraud, breach of trust and other offenses, it was revealed on Tuesday.

He allegedly was Netanyahus long-arm in this case, and acted in his name in several deals that were allegedly done with the Bezeq telecommunications company and an attempt to sell the Walla media outlet. Filbers testimony is reportedly expected to incriminate the prime minister.

The Justice Ministry refused to confirm or deny the report.

The states witness deal that is on offer to Filber does not include time in prison, said a Kan Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation report.

Case 4000, otherwise known as the Bezeq case, looks into the relationship between Netanyahu and Bezeq controlling shareholder Shaul Elovitch, who also owns the Walla! News website. Police suspect that Netanyahu acted to benefit Bezeq in return for favorable coverage in Walla.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that one of the suspects who was arrested in the case earlier this week is former Netanyahu media consultant Nir Hefetz, who is suspected of accepting bribes and obstruction of justice.

Elovitch is reportedly suspected of giving bribes through favorable coverage in Walla, in return for Communication Ministry benefits for Bezeq.

Bezeq CEO Stella Handler was also arrested on Sunday as a suspect in the case. She is reportedly suspected of bribery, fraud, breach of trust and obstruction of justice. Handler will attend a court discussion on Wednesday on whether to extend her remand.

Police and the Israel Securities Authority, which are conducting a joint investigation, continued collecting testimonies on Tuesday. Deputy Communications Ministry director-general Maymon Shmila; former Walla editor in chief (and former MK) Yinon Magal; Likud spokesman Shai Hayek; and Walla news editor Michal Kl...

Oxfams Aid For Sex Scam Exposed "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

By Raul Ilargi

Oxfam. Im wondering if I should warn this is not for the faint of heart, or say dont read on an empty stomach. If so, hereby. I know I found it hard.

The first and foremost thing the BBC last week felt its audience should know about the sleaziest scandal to come out of Britain in quite some time -and thats saying something- is that an actress had turned her back on the aid organization. Your news in bite-size pre-chewed headlines.

While a guy who served Oxfam in Bosnia claims its nobodys business if he visited the local hookers in his spare time. The head office even specifically refuses to ban staff from doing that. Not violating a staff members civil liberties trumps a question like what drives desperate women -girls- into prostitution that same staff member pays for with money donated to aid desperate people.

Someone at the Dutch Oxfam/Novib office complained that his British colleagues should have provided more information, sooner, because now his branch suffers from the scandal (fewer donations). A branch that knew about it at least as far back as 2012, and passed on the info to the Dutch Foreign Ministry and Accounting Office. Who looked at potential -financial- damage in their country, found none, and located a carpet to sweep it under.

The only right choice for us, and our governments, would seem to be to cancel all donations to Oxfam, because apparently nobody connected to the organization is able to figure out who the actual victims are here. They instead portray themselves as the victims.

Of all people, its own chief executive feels a need, when responding to accusations of child sex abuse concerning his organization, to paint himself -and Oxfam- as victims. Anything we say is being manipulated. Weve been savaged . How does that guy hold on to that job?

Charities like Oxfam receive donations to help those people who have fallen victim to the conditions that exist where they live, be they manmade or due to natural disaster. Obviously, if Oxfam cannot (will not) even correctly identify these victims, it has no reason to exist.

Of course Oxfam announces more internal investigations when these accusations come out, but its too late. Theyve hush-hushed all previous such investigations, and theres no reason to believe that wont hap...

You would have thought armed conflict with Russia would be a bigger story "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

That is the topic of my latest Bloomberg column, here is one excerpt:

The relative lack of attention being paid to the news that U.S.-backed forces killed 200 to 300 Russian mercenary soldiers this month in Syria seems like a non-barking dog to me.

In many years, this might have been the most disruptive story, holding the headlines for weeks or maybe months. Circa February 2018, it didnt command a single major news cycle.

What outsiders know about the event is still fragmentary, but it sounds pretty ominous. One Bloomberg account notes: More than 200 contract soldiers, mostly Russians fighting on behalf of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, died in a failed attack on a base held by U.S. and mainly Kurdish forces in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region. It is described as the biggest clash between U.S. and Russian forces since the Cold War. It seems that the Russian mercenaries are pretty closely tied to the Russian government.

And:

One Russian commentator called this event a big scandal and a reason for an acute international crisis. American foreign policy expert Ian Bremmer noted, At some level, its startling that isnt the biggest news of the year. Yet I have found that I know plenty of well-educated people, with graduate degrees and living in and near Washington, who arent even aware this occurred. The story has fallen into a memory hole, in part because neither the Americans nor the Russians wish to escalate the conflict.

Is this unusual affair a one-off, or an indication of a more basic shift in the world? I am starting to believe the latter.

Finally, do solve for the equilibrium:

As the tolerance for particular instances of conflict rises, the temptation to allow or initiate such conflicts rises, if only because the penalties wont be so large. Eventually more parties will experiment with violent sorties.

Here is...

A complex message from space may require the use of computers to display, analyze and understand. Such a message cannot be decontaminated with certainty, and technical risks remain which can pose an existential threat. Complex messages would need to be destroyed in the risk averse case.

Thats the opening warning in a new paper entitled INTERSTELLAR COMMUNICATION. IX. MESSAGE DECONTAMINATION IS IMPOSSIBLE (its in all caps because theyre serious) by Michael Hippke of Sonneberg Observatory in Germany and John G. Learned of the High Energy Physics Group, Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Hawaii, Manoa. Their main message is that a message from an extraterrestrial intelligence (ET) cannot be decontaminated with any degree of certainty and the technical risks are impossible to assess beforehand.

Lets say youve got the latest anti-virus software, your patches are up-to-date and you never click on links in strange messages. However, what you receive is a simple text message a text message warning that aliens are on their way and planning to destroy the planet. One message to one person might not be so bad, but a Cc: to an entire country would cause some serious panic even if its a country that doesnt believe a foreign government could send emails that could influence an election.

While a propaganda message is possible, the authors suggest that an alien civilization bent on bringing down a planet without sending a fleet of warships would probably use a virus or some form of electronic contamination. Most of us follow the warning not to open attachments from strange email addresses, but a message from extraterrestrials would probably drive curiosity over caution and the ETI virus would possibly act like those were used to either bringing down systems and networks or infiltrating them with hidden software awaiting further instructions.

Assuming were smarter than the aliens think or than these researchers give us credit for, some super-tech could...

Scientists create human-sheep hybrid embryos "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

The research aims to solve donor organ shortages by making it possible to grow human organs inside sheep.

With thousands of people on the organ transplant list dying each year due to a lack of donors, scientists have long striven to find a way to produce replacement human organs on demand.

To this end, Dr Pablo Ross from the University of California and colleagues have reported a major breakthrough in their research involving the introduction of human stem cells in to sheep embryos.

Although currently only around 1 in 10,000 cells in the embryos are human, further work could eventually make it possible to produce sheep with specific human organs.

These could then be harvested for transplant in to human patients.

It could take five years or it could take ten years but I think eventually we will be able to do this, said Dr Hiro Nakauchi of Stanford University, one of the team members involved in the research.

While the teams results look promising, there have been ethical concerns over producing a sheep with human DNA especially if that DNA were to influence the animals brain development.

I have the same concerns, said Ross. Lets say that if our results indicate that the human cells all go to the brain of the animal, then we may never carry this forward.

The two countries on Friday signed six new pacts covering the education, energy defense, telecommunication, sports and counter-terrorism sectors.

India and Canada can work together in every sector. We discussed many issues, including defense cooperation. Terrorism and extremism are a threat to countries like ours and to fight these elements, we should come together, Modi said during a joint press conference.

He said he looked forward to building on the historic relationship that connect Canada and India to deepen their socio-economic ties as well as expanding Canadian investments in India.

We have the responsibility to set the right parameters to make the economy benefit everyone, and not just the rich. India-Canada partnership must create jobs, Trudeau said.

He went on to say that India is a natural partner and a trusted friend for commercial cooperation.

The two countries renewed their memorandum of understanding to enchance opportunities for Indian students engaged in higher education in Canada.

Canada and India also agreed to boost tourism and people exchange.

Monsanto Sues Avaaz for Identity of 2 Million Anti-GM Activists, But Whose Side is Avaaz On?

SPECIAL REPORT By Brandon TurbevilleNatural Blaze

George Soros and Monsanto are battling it out.

And the only people who are going to lose are activists and consumers.

This is because Avaaz, often labeled the worlds most biggest and powerful activist network in existence online, is being dragged into court by Monsanto. The organization has received a 168-page court subpoena in which Monsanto is demanding Avaaz hand over every private email, note, or record it has regarding Monsanto, including the names and email addresses of all of those who have signed Monsanto campaigns. These include Avaazs petition calling for a moratorium on glyphosate, which has attracted over 2 million signatures, according to GM Watch.

Now Avaaz is fundraising allegedly in order to fight the subpoena.

Avaaz points out that Monsanto has unlimited resources and states that,

If they get their hands on all our private information, theres no telling what theyll use it for. So were going to fight this. Because Monsanto may have unlimited resources to intimidate, but Avaaz has unlimited people power, and our members just arent afraid.

The subpoena actually came about as a result of a class-action lawsuit on the part of people suing Monsanto claiming that Roundup, the companys famous herbicide, caused non-Hodgkins lymphoma in thems...

Are You At Risk For Autoimmune Disease? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Approximately 20 percent of the population of the United States suffer from an autoimmune disease. Are you one of those?

By Kristin Grayce McGary LAc., MAc., CFMP, CSTcert, CLP.

Will You Get an Autoimmune Disease?

50 million Americans suffer from an autoimmune disease costing almost 100 million dollars a year. Its a growing number. And while you may believe that youre healthy, eat well and never get sick you could have autoimmunity a pre-diagnosable disease state.

Any autoimmune disease always begins with autoimmunity where the bodys immune response attacks healthy cells and tissues, glands and organs eventually manifesting into a full-blown disease. Put simply, the body has misidentified a part of itself as a foreign invader and mistakenly attacks it.

According to John Hopkins Universitys Autoimmune Disease Research Center, autoimmune diseases are a special threat to women. Indeed, more than 75% of their patients are women. (1)

Sadly, autoimmune diseases are among the ten leading causes of death among women in all age groups up to the age of 65. (2)

Ive had an autoimmune disease called Hoshimotos Thyroiditis. About 90% of all thyroid disorders are actually autoimmune issues but they are left misdiagnosed or undiagnosed until such extensive damage is done to the thyroid gland that its difficult to fully recover. I suffered for years before I discovered what was really going on. I neednt have suffered and I can help you to protect yourself from autoimmunity by passing along some of the knowledge I have accumulated.

Conventional medicine practiced in the West has few answers for those suffering from autoimmune issues and theres little sight of a cure. It has been my experience that autoimmunity and full-blown autoimmune diseases are symptoms of deeper issues. Allopathic medicine tends to focus on relieving symptoms rather than getting to the root cause of the problem. From my point of view, autoimmune issues, such as allergies, food sensitivities, digestive issues, foggy thinking, exhaustion, weight gain, repeated infections, even cancer are red flags. Clearly, as far as I am concerned, they point to a dysfunctional immune system. And that can lead to any one of a number of crippling autoimmune diseases such as MS, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus.

Never getting sick, may seem to you like a good thing. That youre doing OK. But it could very well be the complete opposite and a sign of an underactive immune system it m...

Leaders pledge to end Kenya-Tanzania rift "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Kenyatta, center, wants to see trade ties with Tanzania revive and thrive once more following years of disputes [Xinhua]

Kenya and Tanzania are moving closer to resolving a years-long trade dispute that has disrupted the ease of business across their borders.

Earlier in February both Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Tanzanian counterpart John Magufuli agreed to resolve all issues which have contributed to a trade dispute.

The two met at the East African Community (EAC) summit in Kampala, Uganda, which opens today.

The two hoped that trade between them on the one hand, and other East African nations, could thrive again.

In recent years, the two have accused each other of introducing unnecessary levies sometimes reaching more than 100 per cent. Kenya says this has left it with a competitive disadvantage in Tanzanian markets.

For its part, Tanzania says that its products go through a rigorous inspection regimen sometimes leading to three sets of verification thereby raising costs.

The two have also accused each other of putting barriers to each others companies to register as businesses.

The business rift between the two neighbors has impeded trade in EAC because the trade between them accounts for some 45 per cent of all goods traveling through the economic zone.

At one point, Kenyas exports fell by 60 per cent in 2017 due to the rift, the Kenyan National Bureau of Statistics said.

The EAC summit meets at a time when many member states have not done enough to fulfill their commitments to the grouping, the secretariat has said.

The Summit will look at ways to increase taxes on imports to the economic bloc, and finding alternative means of financing for business.

Millions of People Taking Statin Drugs Will Continue to Have Far Greater Chance of Harm than Benefit

By Paul Fassa

Two recent articles published in the UK mainstream hard copy and online newspaper Express revealed theres something wrong with cholesterol-lowering statin drug prescription policies, quoting several doctors who claim statins cause more harm than benefit.

Dr. Rita Redberg, a cardiologist professor at the San Francisco Medical Center, states:

Unfortunately, until all data is available and discussed with patients, millions of people taking these [statin]drugs will continue to have far greater chance of harm than benefit. (Source.)

Dr. Rita Redbergs name might be familiar to our readers, because she appeared in an Australian two-part TV news documentary that has often been featured in several Health Impact News articles. Both parts were connected thematically and produced by Dr. Maryanne Demasi, Ph.D.

And it was Dr. Demasis British Medical Journal (BMJ) article and study review that the Express article was reporting rather favorably with quotes from other doctors supporting her findings. The articles focus was on the controversy it had ignited regarding the widespread use of cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.

Tiny Graphene Membrane Creates Supercharged Water Purification In One Simple Step "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

By Kevin Samson

Fresh water supplies continue to be assaulted on multiple fronts. Front page news at the moment is the unfolding disaster in Cape Town, South Africa which could be completely without water by June. According to some, this is as much the result of politics as it is the result of a three-year drought.

At the same time, clearly man-made disasters like the corporate hoarding of fresh water is on the rise. At the heart of this initiative to make water a commodity has been Nestle, whose former CEO clearly stated that water supplies should be privatized and that the right to fresh, clean water is not an essential human right. One look at how this is manifesting in Mexico at the moment should make it clear who gets most severely penalized for this policy.

Moreover, it is estimated that nearly 1/3 of the planets population is directly threatened by unclean water. Finding a solution to this ongoing plague should be of paramount importance; it is for this reason that I have repeatedly focused on novel new ways that we can take back control over our water supply and ensure that it is as clean as possible (see here and here).

A new filtering technique might just hold the largest promise yet for being able to access even large bodies of water across the planet that have become terribly polluted. Australias Syndney Harbour is one such place. Comprising more than 10,000 acres at depths of up to 35 feet, the Harbour is so polluted that scientists saw it as the perfect challenge to test their research.

The system that scientists at CSIRO have created is called Graphair, named after the microscopic graphene film that developers say will stop pollutants completely in a single step, as opposed to the m...

How to Ground Your Energy "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

How to Ground Your Energy

By Tanaaz

Do you feel grounded and rooted in your being?

When you are grounded you are not only connected to Mother Earth but you are also rooted in your being and in the essence of who you are.

Being grounded basically means you are centered in your self and with the physical, mental and emotional space that you are currently in.

Even if you dont necessarily enjoy where you are currently at, when you take a moment to center and root your being to the ground, you instantly give yourself a launching pad to spring from.

Having a launching pad allows you to sink deeper into the earth so you can set your roots in order to branch out and grow taller. Just like a tree, the stronger the roots, the healthier and more lush you can grow.

Often times however, life can bring us certain situations, events or feelings that can knock us off our launching pad. Usually this is temporary and is always to serve a higher purpose.

Sometimes the launching pad needs to be moved, re-shaped, re-defined or completely changed and often this process can leave us feeling confused, stressed, all over the place, chaotic, unmotivated or stuck.

If you can observe this in your own life and are feeling a lack of stability or centeredness, you may benefit from grounding your energy.

Grounding can help you to:

  • Reduce stress, lethargy and a lack of motivation
  • Increase your emotional and mental health
  • Bring clarity to your life path and purpose
  • Know your own wisdom, thoughts, beliefs and desires
  • Grow stronger, taller and higher in all areas
  • Bring understanding to your situation
  • Reduce feelings of chaos, clutter and indecision
  • Take responsibility for where you are currently at

Creating a sense of grounding is really about taking responsibility for your life and the events and feelings occurring.

This doesnt need to be a harsh process, but rather one that aligns you with your truth, wisdom and your ability to plan and take action based on how you feel.

There are many ways to ground your energy but here are a few suggestions:

1. Be in Nature

Spending time amongst the trees and flowers that are rooted deeply within Mother...

How To Survive Your Spiritual Awakening "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

How To Survive Your Spiritual Awakening : Conscious Life News

A spiritual awakening can be a rollercoaster ride of up and down emotions, here is how you can ride the waves

By Luke Miller

What is a spiritual awakening?

A spiritual awakening is the emergence of your essence (higher self), and/or a connection (or a glimpse of a connection) with the oneness that connects us all. We are born as this essence and as time passes we often lose a connection to this root existence. A spiritual awakening is us as an older being with a more developed (physical) mind and body reconnecting with this essence which can sometimes come as a shock.

What can cause your awakening?

Sometimes a singular event which breaks your current routine of thought- for example, going away on holiday could force you to reflect when you are usually busy. Meeting someone who has already had a spiritual awakening can trigger one in us. A new relationship or the ending of a relationship. A new job or the ending of a job. An experience with a mind-altering substance, or an experience similar which could be induced through meditation, breathwork, dancing, singing, art or anything that gets you out of your head. A near-death experience, or a miracle that cannot be explained rationally. All can cause what seems like a spontaneous awakening.

It can also be a series of events, such as synchronicities that continually show up leading you in a specific direction. At times like these it can feel as if the universe is speaking with you in an unspoken language, and often it actually is.

Sometimes the cause of your awakening is not apparent and while there is usually a trigger of some kind, it is not always obvious without us taking the time to reflect upon it.

What should you do if you have had a spiritual awakening?

The first thing is to slow down, it can be a lot when your whole life gets turned upside down, so dont make any decisions that you may later regret. This is not to say that you should not make changes, you probably will. But in a euphoric state you can often do something drastic, expecting everything to just fall into place and this is not always how it works.

Accept that life may be different to how you thought it was, and try to take some time...

Men and the Divine Feminine "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

It is past time that we learn the balance the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine.

By Jill M. Jackson

A definite crusade is occurring to help balance the duality between male and female. From the #MeToo movement to celebrities such as Ashely Judd and Selma Hayek speaking out against abuse and injustice, the momentum is rising towards a revolution of extraordinary proportions. How can men play an important role in this transformation without feeling fear or a loss of their identity?

What is the Divine Feminine Movement?

For thousands of years, we have resided in a world of male dominance. The disparity caused by the polarity and the lack of balance has contributed to a world in turmoil. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the divine feminine movement seeks to counterbalance the inequality.

Instead of focusing on power and dominance, the divine feminine movement celebrates the strengths of the female expression including intuition, harmony, creativity, and healing. It honors the Goddess and encourages reconnecting with Source, nature, and beauty.

Women by nature are responsible for birthing. Awakening the divine feminine is about playing the role of midwife to facilitate the birthing of our planet into a place of unity and conscious evolution. It is about honoring and appreciating our Mother Earth for all She provides us. It is about appreciating the diversity of all existence.

The divine feminine movement is not about female dominance. That concept is not even a recognizable attribute of the female archetype. The divine feminine reveres all life. It is about choreographing a sacred dance of equality, tolerance, and justice.

How Can Men Assist in the Transformation?

Stereotypical male behavior is hardly consistent with the divine feminine movement. According to Wikipedia, those stereotypes include assertiveness, courage, and independence. Many men have their very identity buried in the depths of dominance, control, and leadership. As the divine feminine rises, men may feel their realities are crumbling. The perceived loss of control may cause feelings of uneasiness and inadequacy.

A few reminders and shifts in perspective may help men welcome the movement and assist in the transformation.

First, is remembering that they incarnated to raise their vibration and further develop their soul. By recognizing the need for the perfect balance of yin and yang or mas...

11 Powerful Mantras For Healing "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

11 Powerful Mantras For Healing

By Tanaaz

Everything in this Universe carries a vibration, including the words that you speak.

For centuries, people have used words for healing. Words can be used to share a story, they can be used to pray and they can be used to express a deeper truth.

Another way words can be used for healing is through mantras. Mantras are short, positively inspired phrases that carry a powerful healing vibration and can help to free your body, mind, and soul of any stresses.

The word mantra loosely translates to instrument of the mind. This is because mantras have the power to transform your thinking, and rewire thought patterns and belief systems that have been engrained deep within your subconscious.

In traditional practices, it was believed that you had to chant the mantra 125,000 times in order for it to really sink in to the deepest level of your soul. While this may sound daunting, even reciting a mantra a few times over the course of a week or month can have life changing effects.

In fact, mantras are so simple yet so effective for all sorts of healing, that I have shared 150 of my most favorite and powerful mantras in a new book My Pocket Mantras.

Here are a few of my favorite mantras from the book

1.) I know I am loved and supported as I move through the day.

Recite this mantra three times either out loud or quietly to yourself first thing in the morning or whenever needed. As you recite the mantra, cross your arms and wrap them around your body like you are giving yourself a big, supportive hug.

2.) This too shall pass.

Recite this mantra seven times out loud or quietly to yourself during challenging life periods and when you are working through painful emotions.

3.) I surrender my worries to the Universe.

Recite this mantra three times either out loud or quietly to yourself as often as needed. Visualize yourself taking your heavy coat of burdens off and handing it over to the Universe to take care of as you recite the words.

4.) I choose to feel good about myself every day.

Recite this mantra three times either out loud or quietly to yourself while looking in the mirror.

5.) I am exactly where I need to be.

Recite this mantra three times either out loud or quietly to yours...

What is the value of studying a foreign language in high school? "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Bryan Caplan writes:

While promoting my new book, Ive repeatedly argued that foreign language requirements in U.S. schools are absurd and should be abolished.  For two distinct reasons.

Reason #1: Americans almost never use their knowledge of foreign languages (unless they speak it in the home).

Reason #2: Americans almost never learn to speak a foreign language very well in school, even though a two- or even three-year high school requirement is standard.

This double whammy is easily generalized.  If studying X for years yields minimal knowledge, and you wouldnt use X even if you knew it, you could defend X as an elective.  But how could anyone defend X as a requirement?

My view is this:

1. Learning at least one language is of high value for Americas elite.  It helps them see different points of view, and prepares a small number for careers in the foreign service or in other international capacities.  It makes intellectuals deeper and improves their scholarship.  This is a sliver of the population, but the global rate of return to having it is very high.  And I suspect a significant portion of this population received its first exposure to a foreign language in high school (or even junior high), which in turn may have helped them do study abroad.

2. If we could target foreign language acquisition to this future elite, I would gladly let the vast majority of the student population off the hook.  One move toward this end would be to use foreign language tiebreakers for those wishing to finish in the top quarter of their high school class.  I would like to see a study of whether this would produce sufficiently accurate targeting.

3. Here is an estimate that knowing a foreign language brings a wage premium of about 2%; I have not read the paper, but I do not wish to overclaim on the causality front.  It still is measuring something about quality.

4. Many European countries teach their citizens English (above all), French, and German with reasonable success and high returns, especially for English.  So it is possible to succeed with this endeavor within a publ...

Venezuela's New Cryptocurrency: Just Another Form of Control Fraud "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

If a currency can't be converted on demand into the underlying commodity, it's not "backed by oil," it's just another form of control fraud.
The broke and broken country of Venezuela appears to be the first nation-state to issue a cryptocurrency token (the petro) as a means of escaping the financial black hole that's consuming its economy: Maduro Launches Oil-Backed Crypto "For The Welfare Of Venezuela".
For context, here is a chart of the black market (i.e. real-world) value of the Venezuela's fiat currency, the bolivar: a 100,000 bolivar note is worth somewhere around 40 cents USD (US dollar), i.e. near zero. (Venezuela maintains a fantasy-official USD/bolivar exchange rate that has no relation to the actual purchasing-power value of Venezuela's fiat currency.)

Elongated Peruvian Skulls May Have Been Elite Humans

By Brett Tingley

Over the last year, images and videos of rather dubious three-fingered mummies in Peru sparked a flurry of social speculation about ancient aliens, alien-human hybrids, or some unidentified human subspecies or unknown ancient abomination from right here on Earth. However authentic or inauthentic they might be, the strange appearance of the mummies with long, bulbous heads might have its roots in a kernel truth.

An elongated, stretched-out kernel.

It turns out that hundreds of skulls with elongated skulls have indeed been found in the mountains of Peru and catalogued by anthropologists throughout the years. DNA tests of the skulls have been surprising, but only in that they showed that th...

Off The Cuff: The Bond Market Will Have A Rude Awakening Soon "IndyWatch Feed Economics"

Off The Cuff: The Bond Market Will Have A Rude Awakening Soon

In this week's Off The Cuff podcast, Chris and Wolf Richter discuss:

  • The Coming Rude Awakening For Bonds
    • Spiking yields are about to crash prices
  • Multi-TrillIon Dollar Deficits
    • The US is spending much more than it admits to
  • Kryptonite For The Housing Market
    • Higher interest rates & unfavorable tax code changes
  • Pension Woes
    • Most pension plans will soon be in a world of pain

Chris and Wolf marvel at the bond market's apparent indifference so far to rising rates. Rising rates, of course, mathematically mean bond prices should lower -- but that hasn't happened much yet. With the 10-year Treasury nearly at 3% now, that resistance can't last for long. Especially if the Fed proceeds with its declared program of quantitative tightening this year.

Wolf explains the ticking time bond in the bond market thusly...
